Terms of use
Clear terms for accounts, contributions and moderation.
By using an account or posting content, you agree to these terms and the community guidelines.
Last updated: 23 July 2026
1. Scope and account
- FanFeed is currently a free, privately operated, non-commercial hobby project. It offers no subscriptions or paid platform services.
- These terms apply when you visit FanFeed, use an account, upload content, comment, vote or use fan matching.
- You provide accurate account information, secure your Google account and are responsible for activity through your FanFeed account.
- Fan matching is only for people aged 18 or older. A general FanFeed account does not automatically provide matching access.
2. User content
- Uploads, comments, profile text and other contributions are supplied by users. The uploader remains responsible for that content, and publication does not make FanFeed its owner or author.
- You may only post content for which you hold the necessary rights, have demonstrable permission, or can rely on a legal exception such as quotation, criticism, review, caricature, parody or pastiche.
- You confirm that your contribution does not infringe copyright, trade marks, image rights, privacy or other rights and is not unlawful, misleading or harmful.
- To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible towards FanFeed for loss and reasonable costs directly caused by content you posted in breach of these terms or applicable law.
3. Licence to display content
- You retain your rights. You grant FanFeed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, technically copy, resize, display and make your contribution available for operating and promoting FanFeed.
- This licence lasts while the contribution remains on FanFeed and for a reasonable technical backup period afterwards. You can end future public display by requesting removal, subject to legal retention duties and the rights of others.
- FanFeed may use hosting, security and other service providers for these limited purposes.
4. Review is not rights clearance
- Uploads may be reviewed by an administrator for relevance, safety and community compliance before publication.
- Approval, featuring or failure to remove content does not mean FanFeed verified copyright, permission, accuracy or legality, or endorses the content.
- FanFeed may restrict or remove content but does not guarantee that every contribution is reviewed in advance.
5. Prohibited use
- No illegal content, infringing material, harassment, discrimination, stalking, doxxing, impersonation, sexual exploitation, threats, fraud, malware, spam or deceptive notices.
- No content or conduct that endangers minors. Suspected child sexual exploitation may be reported to the competent authorities.
- No automated access, scraping or circumvention of security, rate-limit or moderation controls without written permission.
6. Notices, decisions and appeals
- Illegal or infringing content can be reported through the Takedown page or [email protected]. Conduct reports can be sent to [email protected].
- FanFeed reviews sufficiently substantiated notices in a timely, diligent and objective manner and may temporarily disable content during an investigation.
- When FanFeed restricts content or suspends an account, the affected user receives the main reason and appeal information where appropriate, unless law or safety prevents this.
- Users and notifiers may request human reconsideration through [email protected].
7. Repeated misuse
- After a prior warning, FanFeed may suspend for a reasonable period accounts that frequently provide manifestly illegal content.
- FanFeed may also restrict processing from people who frequently submit manifestly unfounded notices or appeals.
- Decisions consider factors including the number, seriousness, proportion, intention and consequences of violations.
8. Fan matching and external services
- Fan matching is for friendly community connections and is not a dating service. FanFeed does not verify social accounts or the identity behind a handle.
- After a mutual match, user-selected handles become visible. Do not disclose anything you do not want shared and independently assess whether external contact is safe.
- FanFeed does not control external social-media or embed platforms and is not responsible for their availability, terms, content or user conduct outside FanFeed.
9. Availability and liability
- FanFeed provides the service as available and may modify, secure, interrupt or discontinue features.
- To the extent permitted by law, FanFeed is not responsible for content stored or posted by users on their own initiative, or for loss caused by reliance on such content or contact through external platforms.
- After obtaining actual knowledge of manifestly illegal content, FanFeed acts expeditiously to remove or disable it where legally required.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including liability for intent or deliberate recklessness where exclusion is not permitted.
10. Changes, termination and law
- You can stop using FanFeed and request account deletion. Some data may be retained temporarily for legal duties, security, disputes or backups.
- For material changes, we publish a new date and provide advance notice where reasonable. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance of the updated terms.
- Dutch law applies. Consumers retain any mandatory protection and competent forum available under applicable law.
